The welfare of our partner horses is incredibly important to SheHerdPower. The participation of the horse in therapy has been structured to ensure the safety and well being of the animal. Cassandra Ogier has utilized her extensive experience in the practice to develop an approach that supports the horse and herd’s spiritual and emotional health. The therapeutic collaboration ensures that participation is not compulsory and the horse’s participation in the healing process is as a willing and able facilitator.
The herd at Flag Ranch is comprised entirely of rescues; ranging in age from five to twenty-seven, and includes mares, geldings and three mother/daughter pairs. Together they’ve formed a beautiful weave of interdependence, individual expression and distinct and profound bonds. They live as a natural herd, grazing on 90 acres at liberty.
